I’m trying to lose weight.. I’m 6′1" and about 210 and I want to hit 160 if possible. I was told that eating small and healthy, natural foods + daily cardio exercise = weight loss. However I have asthma and my idea if cardio is jogging and running and maybe aerobics. Sadly I can hardly run about 200 feet without having to use an inhaler. I’m really wanting to lose weight and it really bothers me that it seems harder than i thought.. Any tips or advice???

Ah… This is really tough. You will need to sloooowly get your lungs into shape so you can go longer distances at a moderate pace. Try doing yoga breathing exercises every day, maybe 30 minutes straight. Hop on the exercise bike and do go as long as you can at a slow pace (50-70 rpm). Bicycling is less aerobic and breathing intensive, so you can burn calories without having to breath really hard. If you work at it, I think you could end up going 1-2 hours straight without having to breath really hard.

I hope this helps!

Each and every person loses weight differently and therefore there are many different types of weight loss programs and methods out there today that can be used to help you shed those unwanted pounds and keep them off for good. One of the most popular forms of alternative weight loss on the market today is the use of hypnosis.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is nothing like what you see at a stage show or for entertainment purposes, it is something we often experience throughout our everyday lives. Think about when you are shopping in the mall and find a chair that you think would be perfect in your living room and you continue to imagine the scene, this is the first level of hypnosis.

There are basically three different areas of the brain, the subconscious, the ego and the conscious mind. Hypnosis takes control of your subconscious mind and replaces the negative beliefs and thoughts entirely. This means that when you think negative thoughts about yourself like you can’t do it or you will never be in shape again, although people may tell you otherwise, these thoughts are constantly embedded in your subconscious mind and this can truly inhibit your weight loss successes.

With dozens of hypnotists who are beginning to specialize in the weight loss field, it is not a problem to find the right hypnotist within you area to help you learn how to utilize your mind to help you get on the right path towards weight loss.

In contrast to regular dieting, feeling good about yourself only comes after you have seen success in losing pounds, but with hypnosis you are taught to first feel good about yourself and then watch the pounds melt away with your new disposition. Often times your hypnotist will provide you with self esteem Cds to listen to for a 21 day period and this is generally enough to begin changing your subconscious beliefs and thoughts for the better.

It can be hard to imagine that our thoughts and mind can have such an impact on our ability to lose weight. This is the perfect alternative to fad diets and exercise programs that have not been enough in the past to help you lose weight, there is nothing wrong with trying something different, in fact this is how many people find success.

This is a very affordable weight loss method to consider and can be mixed with daily exercise and of course healthy eating habits in order to see best results. Hypnosis is not going to melt the pounds off your body without you conducting exercise routines as well. Hypnosis only helps cleanse your mind of the negative way of thinking that has been keeping you back, the first step to weight loss success.

This is becoming the number one natural cure for weight gain problems for those who have tried many other methods and found no success. This is far from a fad diet, although many people have labeled this method of weight loss in this way, it is a chance to reform your mind and subconscious thoughts to bring yourself to a new mental state of success in more ways than one.

I need an easy, healthy, totally natural (not involving pills or anything) way to lose weight. & FAST! what has worked for you? how can i stay motivated? I really want to enhance my appearance as fast as possible. Diet & excersize plans that have worked for you or that you’ve heard of would be really helpful. Thanks so much!

Diets aren’t the way to go when it comes to losing weight. That’s because they create temporary eating patterns — and, therefore, temporary results. Most dieters gain back any lost weight when they go back to their old eating habits. So what’s the best way to drop excess weight? Create a new normal!
weight loss is most likely to be successful when people change their habits, replacing old, unhealthy ones with new, healthy behaviors. Here are 5 ways to make that happen:
Exercise. Regular physical activity burns calories and builds muscle — both of which help you look and feel good and keep weight off. Walking the family dog, cycling to school, and doing other things that increase your daily level of activity can all make a difference. If you want to burn more calories, increase the intensity of your workout and add some strength exercises to build muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even when you aren’t exercising.
Reduce screen time. One reason people get less exercise these days is because of an increase in "screen time" — the amount of time spent watching TV, looking at the computer, or playing video games. Limit recreational screen time to less than 2 hours per day. If you’re with friends at the mall, you’re getting more exercise than if you’re IMing them from your room.
Watch out for portion distortion. Serving sizes have increased over the past 10 years, and these extra calories contribute to obesity. Another key factor in weight gain is that more people drink sugary beverages, such as sodas, juice drinks, and sports drinks. So choose smaller portions (or share restaurant portions) and go for water or low-fat milk instead of soda.
Eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Fruits and veggies are about more than just vitamins and minerals. They’re also packed with fiber, which means they fill you up. And when you fill up on fruits and veggies, you’re less likely to overeat when it comes to high-calorie foods like chips or cookies.
Don’t skip breakfast. Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, burning calories from the get-go and giving you energy to do more during the day. People who skip breakfast often feel so hungry that they eat more later on. So they get more calories than they would have if they ate breakfast. In fact, people who skip breakfast tend to have higher BMIs than people who eat breakfast.

Hello, I am wondering what is the BEST weight loss/fat burning/metabolism pill out there. I do understand that exercise and a healthy diet is a better way of losing weight however this question is directed towards supplements or naturals. I have taken a look at http://bodybuilding.com/store/fatloss.htm however I am not sure which one is the best and I am not sure if this site is bias. What pills require exercise for it to work and which pills do not? Of course a healthy diet and exercise with the pill will only speed up the process but what if you do not?
Safe safe safe safe! supplements, forgot that detail

I’m sorry, but what you are looking for does not exist. The only thing that comes close to providing weight loss without the work is Alli, which essentially makes you not absorb all the dietary fat you consume. This is still recommended with diet and exercise for maximum results. There is phentermine, which is a prescription drug for obese people which effectively suppresses your appetite. This is by prescription only and is an amphetamine (which can be addictive). Really the only thing that can alter your metabolism is synthroid, which is for people with hypothyroidsim, which I am guessing you don’t have. If there were a magic pill to take, then everyone would be thin and over 60% of Americans wouldn’t be overweight.

Also, dietary supplements (except Alli) are not FDA approved, so technically no one is governing them. In that case, I wouldn’t consider any to really be safe. Remember Ephedra? Sometimes things that are FDA approved are not even safe. Remember Phen-Fen?

Is slimquick a good weight loss supplement? I know working out and eating right is good, and I am doing that but I need something that will burn fat, and that is somewhat natural and healthy….is that stretching it?

The only thing that burns fat is exercise.
Don’t waste your money.
Eat a good diet, plenty of info online and on these pages.

It’s important to note that SlimQuick has not received approval from the FDA.
Potential side effects from SlimQuick:- dizziness- anxiety
- depression- weight gain- elevated heart rater - rapid heart rate- elevated blood pressure- jitters- nausea- mood swings

Rather than putting your hopes and dreams for weight loss success in an over the counter diet supplement which has not been approved by the FDA for effectiveness, save that hard earned money and try the following instead. im 6 1"……………………………………………………………………

It sounds like a good diet and exercise plan, however without your height and weight or if you are M or F it is hard to answer. The exercise regimen sounds good, but be sure to mix it up and add different programs because your body is incredibly adaptable and will get used to the same routine, try incorporating weight resistance to your work out, start off slow and add as you go. GOOD LUCK!

You have tried various weight loss diets and exercises except a weight loss surgery to lose those ugly fats, but have given those weight loss programs up time and again because you lack the will and the discipline to carry on with the programs. Is that you? If yes, you are in luck because there is a wonderful solution.

On top of that, you will also be making many friends who are at the camps for similar reasons like yours. With so many like-minded people egging each other on, you can be sure that you will get results from your stay at the weight loss camps.

These new buddies may even become life long friends as you will be playing games and attending classes together during your stay. You may even find a permanent life partner there. If this is not a fun- filled vacation, what is?

A weight loss camp vacation usually comes in weekly packages ranging from a week to even a few months. How long your stay will usually be determined by your goals and of course, how deep your pocket is.

Since you usually set aside a budget for your vacations, then why not use this budget on a weight loss camp vacation. Not only can you get a pleasant holiday in a natural and healthy surrounding, you get to lose weight too. Isn’t a weight loss camp vacation simply wonderful?

So I put on a lot of weight while I had Mirena and I would definitely like to lose it. I don’t want to go on a drastic diet but I’m afraid of hurting my chances to conceive by dieting at all.

My weight may or may not be interfering with my ovulation (see my most recent question for some details if you’re interested) and if it is, losing weight will help, not hurt the process.

If you are honestly over-weight, 50 lbs or more, is it ok to try and lose some weight while trying to conceive or will you just be hampering your fertility. Is it better to just eat healthy and be healthy and let any natural weigweight loss happen that comes from good eating habits?

we’re in the same boat.

I was a perfect weight for my height 5′4" 120 lb three years ago when i started ttc.. now 3 miscarriages and about 6 clomid cycles later I weigh 165!!! (i’m miserable)
I can eat healthy and work out very very lightly but that’s it or it can hinder all of my ttc efforts. (which are so expensive!)

so, I just wanted to say that I feel your pain and to answer your question, no unless you’re ‘taking a break’ you shouldn’t try to lose weight.

that’s what my repoductive endocranologist told me
